What you’ll need:
Hair tie
Scarf (silk or cotton work great)
Bobby pins
Hair spray (optional)
This hairstyle is ideal for second-day hair and adds instant sophistication to any outfit. The scarf adds beautiful texture and visual interest while keeping your hair secure all day long.
To create this hairstyle, begin by dividing out any hair that you want left out around your face.
Then take the rest of your hair and combine it all together into a really high ponytail.
Use a brush to smooth out the sides and then take a hairband and tie off the ponytail.
Take a scarf and do a half knot, tying it over the hairband.
If you’re using a scarf that is slippery like silk or satin, you can use a hair elastic to help secure this portion of the scarf to the ponytail.
It makes it a little bit easier to work with.
Carefully slide the scarf down the ponytail until it reaches near the ends.
Take the center of the scarf where you knotted it and begin rolling the hair into a ball, slowly continuing up the ponytail until the hair is rolled up to the hair band at your head.
Holding the bun with your left hand, carefully wrap the sides of the scarf around the outside of the bun so they meet at the back.
